What is Stewardship?

Stewardship - A Way of Life
Stewardship isn't something you do; it's the way you live your entire life. Christian Stewardship is accepting the many gifts God has blessed us with, caring for them in a responsible manner, and sharing them with others. We are called to share and give our gifts in gratitude for what God has given to us. A Steward sees life as a gift from God where personal time, talents, and treasures are shared with others in a way pleasing to God.

We are all called to use our gifts to do God's work to fulfill the mission set forth by Jesus. The responsibility for continuing the mission of the Church lies with each of its members. All members of the Church are called to practice Stewardship of the Church. Every person has the responsibility to determine concrete ways in which God intends them to use their time, talents, and resources.

We can help each other become good Stewards in many different ways, such as:
  • Attending and participating in worship services;
  • Volunteering to help with mission projects;
  • Serving on church Boards and Committees;
  • Serving coffee hour;
  • Assisting as a reader in worship;
  • Volunteering for community activities; and, yes, you can even...
  • Donate dollars to support the financial needs of the church ministries!
For more information on using your "3-T" gifts, you can go to: Please let us know if you have other ideas for ways in which we can support current and future ministries of this church.
